About Us - Beliefs

Welcome to Fairview Baptist Church

Fairview Baptist is a church that loves families, offers biblical answers to life’s problems, desires to be a Christ-centered church (and really means it!), teaches children the truth in a world that has lost its moral and spiritual compass, believes the idea of a “community church” is still important to many people, and believes you don’t have to keep shopping for a new church - God has one that’s right for you. Find out more about:

    who we are,
    where we’re going, and
    what we believe.

Who We Are...
Fairview Baptist is the result of some extraordinary people who sensed God’s call for a new church in the Fairview community in the late 80s. Through their vision and leadership, this ministry became a reality in October, 1990. Now, at eleven years old and over 400 members strong and growing, we have come to understand two very important things about what makes a great church:

A great church isn’t made up of big buildings, but a great people surrendered and obedient to the Lord Jesus. A great church allows Jesus Christ to be the Head.

Rev. Craig Hamlin began serving as Pastor on March 27, 2005. Craig, his wife, Jenny, and their daughter, Moriah, are truly a blessing to Fairview.

Where We're Going...
Fairview Baptist has both a purpose and a mission! Our purpose/mission statement is as follows:

”The purpose of Fairview Baptist Church is to glorify the Lord by expressing the love of Jesus Christ to our community, bringing people into a personal saving relationship with Him, reaching out to and strengthening the family, as well as discipling, training, and encouraging believers to spiritual maturity and ministry.”

Because of this God-given purpose we believe our primary reason for exisiting is to glorify God as we serve and minister to others.

Secondly, even though we don’t believe that big buildings make a great church we do want to provide adequate facilities for worship and fellowship. Our recently completed Master Site Plan calls for at least four more buildings laid out on our beautiful 23 acre campus.

We recently completed a new 450 seat worship center, education and fellowship building.

What We Believe...
In a day when rapid change in our world is normal and many churches aren’t sure what they believe anymore, Fairview Baptist is unashamedly a conservative, Bible believing church realizing that mankind’s greatest need in life is to know God and to have a personal, loving, saving relationship with Him.

We believe...
  • The Bible is the Word of God, verbally inspired, infallible, and inerrant.
  • There is a living, true God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and complete deity. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, made atonement for the sins of mankind on the cross through His shed blood and death, and was bodily resurrected from the dead where he has ascended to the right hand of the Father and will personally return in power and glory for His church.
  • Eternal life is received by faith through grace, and the evidence of that salvation is a new life in Christ.
  • Both the saved and the unsaved will be resurrected from the dead - the saved into everlasting life and the unsaved into everlasting damnation.
