"The
Unchurched Next Door" by Thom S. Rainer
We all know someone who does not attend church. They may be a family member,
a neighbor, or even a coworker. But what keeps them from attending church? Filled
with lots of statistics, graphs and data, The Unchurched Next Door takes a hard
look at the reasons people give for not attending church. Dr. Rainer compiles
data gathered from surveys and categorizes the unchurched into five areas from
the totally resistant to the highly receptive. Then he gives suggestions on
how to reach those people -- share your faith in Christ.
If you enjoy data, statistics, seeing the lost come to Christ, or are looking
for another way to share your faith, I would recommend reading The Unchurched
Next Door by Thom S. Rainer (R.Shaver)
"The
Listener " by Terri Blaylock (Originally published as The Heart
Reader)
A novella about a man who was given the gift of being able to read/hear people's
deepest desires. He's able to use that gift to bring many people to the Lord.
The impact of this gift expands to his church & his entire community. When
the gift is taken away, he finally realizes that everyone's deepest desire is
a close relationship with Jesus. This is a great book for witness-motivation!
