Senior Pastor - Dr. Craig Hamlin

Craig Hamlin was born in Mt. Airy, NC on April 20, 1970. He graduated from North Surry High School. He is a graduate of UNC-Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. He completed his Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas in 1996. He earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, in 2007.

On June 15, 1996, Craig and Jennifer (Jenny) were married in Mt. Airy. Jenny was born in Flat Rock, Michigan on October 21, 1971. She graduated from East Surry High School and attended Surry Community College. She is a stay at home mom and works out of the home. On November 5, 2002, Moriah Abigail was born. She is the delight of their life!

Craig has been preaching since June 1988. He has worked as an Associate Pastor in youth ministry, music ministry, evangelism, and education. He has served four other churches in Texas and North Carolina. Craig has ministered in Jamaica, Japan, and the Philippines, as well as, throughout the United States preaching the gospel and leading various mission projects. Prior to coming to Fairview, for eight years, Craig ministered at East Taylorsville Baptist Church in Taylorsville, NC as Associate Pastor and Senior Pastor. While there he led the church to restructure their education ministry, do evangelism through their small groups using FAITH: Sunday School Evangelism Strategy, and adopt a Global Focus Mission Strategy developing partnerships locally and internationally. He has served as Hospice Chaplain for Alexander County and served on several boards in the community. Currently, Craig serves on the Board of Directors for the Baptist State Convention as chairman of the Missions Growth and Evangelism Committee. He has a passion to win souls and to make disciples through the ministry of the local church. He is devoted to preaching the word of God and making it clear, concise, and applicable to every area of life.

Craig began his ministry at Fairview Baptist Church on March 27, 2005.

Associate Pastor - Phil Henry

Phil Henry began his ministry at Fairview Baptist Church in June 2006.

Phil is a graduate of Carson-Newman College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served as a senior pastor in High Point, NC as well as Associate Pastor for Evangelism and New Member Assimilation at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC.

Minister to Students - Marty Middleton

Marty Middleton joined the staff of Fairview Baptist Church in September 2005. He is currently working on a Master of Divinity degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Marty holds a Music Education degree from UNC-Greensboro, and has taught music in NC public schools for five years. He has worked in youth ministry since 2001, and longs to see young people serve God with all their heart, mind, and soul. He married his lovely bride, Amy, in June of 2000, and they have two beautiful girls: Chloe Grace, born in May 2004, and Naomi Hope, born in December 2006.
